About Ray

Born in Surrey UK and spending most of my younger years living near the countryside I started taking "snaps" at aged 14, this very quickly became my main hobby.
Later, after getting married, a change in my working life meant moving to Northamptonshire. Up until this point I had been a mechanical engineer, after two years and being made redundant AGAIN (5th time in my working career), I decided it was time for a change of direction, I had always had a desire to take up photography full time, so I did!, ( Photo by Stu Williamson )

After passing the City & Guilds Certificate in portraiture in 1993, I turned professional, the following year I Gained the Distinction of Licentiate with the Master Photographers Association ( L.M.P.A.)
Then in 1997 Gaining the distinction of Licentiate with the Royal Photographic Society ( L.R.P.S.) 12 years running a successful photographic business is very rewarding, but also very hard work, in that time I have been lucky enough to travel the world, and as you can imagine, after that, living a different lifestyle in the sun really appealed to me. Now, living on Spain's Costa Blanca Coast with my partner Tricia, We love the warm weather, and the light here is fantastic. We specialize in Weddings, Portraiture, Architecture, Commercial and Private Photography, we also run photographic workshops, teaching photography to beginners through to intermediate level.
